LG Appliances Targets Young at Heart Mamas

Yes, it is I, here again to enlighten your lives with a new ad of the week. This ad is for LG Home Appliances and not gonna lie, it’s hysterical. If I was a “real” adult living by myself and not in my current situation where I don’t have enough in my account for a burrito bowl – then after watching this commercial the first thing I would want is an LG Appliance in my humble abode.

Although we would love to eat pizza at 2:30am and daydrink in flower headbands all day, every day for the rest of our lives, we’re a *litttttttle* excited to use our newly learned skills and execute them in the workplace after we graduate. We envision ourselves as boss ass mofos strutting our stuff into the office. We can actually walk in heels and the only buzz that we’re feeling is from our three cups of morning coffee. Or actually, maybe nothing is going to change and we’re going to be adults with the same dirty minds but with a bunch more responsibilities.

This week’s commercial brings you me in 10 years (jk, I’m gonna be a boss lady 4 lyfe). Adult life, not as cracked up as we envision it to be. The new LG Appliance campaign is “mom confessions.” We’re taken to the kitchen and into the mind of a blonde MILF that uses LG Appliances while remembering how things used to be in the “old days.”

This particular commercial presents mama in the kitchen reminiscing about how she was once the hotter than the oven while she bakes cookies. Although I found this commercial hilarious, I guess it’s kind of sad how once you get a real life you’re suddenly supposed to be a real-life functioning adult who has to REMEMBER when you were cool, because now you’re lame AF. So although I do feel sad for this woman who is no longer hot, she has cookies baking in the oven… so who’s the real winner here?
